Science Friction 3.0 Years of research and a new production process in the USA have led to Mad Rock's Science Friction 3.0 rubber compound. This formula is more durable and offers greater friction than previous batches, achieved by increasing tear strength and compound memory. The Science Friction 3.0 formula is used in various components of our rock shoes, including the 3D Hooking Heel, 3D Concave Sole, and soles of all our shoes.

Patented Concave Sole Mad Rock's patented Concave Sole allows climbers to use their feet like hands, providing optimal grip on overhangs and better support on tiny holds and edges. The Concave Sole also creates a sharper edge for precise footwork.

Arch Flex Support Mad Rock's Arch Flex system utilizes a 1.8mm thick R2 rand rubber formula to give our high-performance shoes a comfortable and glove-like fit. The elastic property of the R2 formula ensures a secure fit without causing discomfort.

3D Molded Heel Cup The 3D Molded Heel Cup is designed to enhance hooking ability. It features grooves that improve grip and prevent the heel from slipping off. Our heel cups are made with climbing-grade rubber to ensure durability and performance.
